You will need:
2 Medium eggs
125g Self Raising Flour
125g Sugar
125g Butter
1 Tablespoon milk
choice of flavouring either: banana, chocolate or strawberry use 2 tablespoons of chosen flavoured milkshake powder (or leave for plain cakes)
makes 12 aprox
Preheat oven at 180*, 350*f, gas 4
Method:
- Beat sugar and butter together in bowl until light and fluffy
- Whisk in eggs one at a time
- Mix in flour and milkshake powder
- Add milk and mix
- Place 12 fairy cake cases into a bun tin and spoon a tablespoon of cake mixture into each one.
- Add spare mixture to new cases or add a bit more to each case
- Place in oven and cook for 10 to 12 minuates until cooked through. If not cooked fully cook for longer and check every 3 minuates!
- take out oven and cool for 1 hour or until fully cool.
For the icing you will need:
90g soft butter
180g icing sugar
1 tablespoon milk
2 tablespoons of chosen milkshake powder (or leave for plain icing)
Method:
- Whisk butter and milk together to make creamy mixture
- add icing sugar and milkshake powder
- Whisk until light and fluffly and add more icing sugar if nessisary
- Pipe onto cakes or spoon a tablespoon of buttercream on each
